Dorset’s brightest self-storage business has officially met internationally approved standards.

Store & Secure, based in Hamworthy, Poole, has achieved certification in self-storage for personal and business customers.

The BS EN certificate covers a wide number of elements including the infrastructure, dealing with enquiries, contracts, payments and after sales service.

Store & Secure – which is painted bright yellow – is run by the ‘storage sisters’, Lucy and Sophie Maidman.

As well as providing inside and outside storage, it has serviced offices in which start-ups can incubate.

Sophie said: “In our industry it is important to attain the highest standards because customers have to place trust in you.

“For this certification we had to pass a full audit of our facility, including our processes and systems.

“An auditor visited to ensure we had achieved the correct standards or surpassed them, which we did.

“As well as ensuring we are achieving internationally recognised standards, our security is also of huge importance.

“This means not just physical security but cyber-security too. We have achieved the Cyber Essentials certification again, which we did with help from C3IA Solutions.

“We have a facility that is officially of the highest standards and as secure as it can realistically be.

“You can’t miss us in Hamworthy and we invite people to pop in for a coffee and have a look at what we can offer in terms of storage.

“We were brought up in Hamworthy and our facility, Joyce House, is named after our mum.”
